Spencer Smith Teaching Philosophy

When I was in high school, I identified myself through baseball. With baseball being a sport full of failure, I was constantly beating myself up over the smallest of mistakes. While playing in College, I learned that my identity was in Christ alone, and that I can play this game to glorify HIM. 

I believe each player has a unique ability to glorify God through his skills on the baseball field. Through hard work, proper instruction, confidence, and the willingness to learn, players can accomplish their goals.

I want to help each player I work with understand that their identity goes beyond the baseball field. As a coach, I want players to have confidence in their abilities and become a great teammate. It is a great joy to see a player accomplish their goals, and I want to do all that I can to help them do so.
