Ben Sams Teaching Philosophy

I have been coaching for over 20+ years at every age group. Coaching to me is the opportunity to give back to young men what was instilled to me by my father. I want to be just more than a coach my goals are to be a mentor, a teacher, instructor and an influencer in guiding players to be positive role models not just in baseball but life.

On and off the field development is what molds our players to be the best young men they can be, hard work, determination and the willingness to learn are at the core of my teaching values. Not every player can be coached the same way and the ability to teach in various ways is what leads to coaching success.  When a player fails that’s ok, when a player has successes that is great but when a player learns to tackle challenges and take the good with the bad that is the way life is conducted and that is Baseball in a nut shell.

Coaching is a blessing and an opportunity to enrich players lives not only in the present but into the future.
