Holly Gleeson Teaching Philosophy
Growing up, softball was a way of life that helped shape the player that I was and coach that I am today. I am blessed to have had incredible from coaches in past that taught me what true leadership looks like. Having played at a competitive level for 8 years and coached for over 10+ years my strong knowledge of the game, its fundamentals, and my ability to motivate and encourage athletes will be beneficial in helping my players to succeed.
As a coach I hope to instill not only the love of the game, but also the knowledge, the skills to succeed, and the important life lessons that glorify God. I believe it is my job to teach our youth about leaving the negative on the field, moving on to the next play and holding your head high thru adversities. Being a good leader, learning to place your team above oneself, taking a loss and turning it into motivation are also keys to success.
Teaching the players to remember to have fun has proven to be one the best ways to boost team moral and pave the way for skill development and confidence on and off the field as well as maintaining a positive attitude. God’s love fuels my passion, igniting a fire within me to push harder, go farther and achieve greatness.
“For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.” – 1 Timothy 4:8
