Finding a pitch package that best represents your abilities as a pitcher can be quite difficult without the proper information. Why do some FBs move differently than others? Hint… it involves much more than just arm slot. You need to dig in to the weeds to find the answer: finger pressure, radial and ulnar deviation of the wrist, supinator vs. pronator bias, extension, Vertical release, Horizontal release, overall arm action, rotational planes of the upper and lower half … as you can see, much more goes into pitch movement than just where you release the baseball.
Over my years as a Pitching Coach and Pitching Coordinator with the Yankees and Georgia Tech, I have learned the “How’s, What’s and Why’s” within the flight of each pitch type. Identification and the utilization of a pitcher’s pitch package can alter the course of one’s development.
Our goal with the Pitch Design Course is to take your game to the next level. Thru pitch tracking devices, we will identify and maximize your analytical profiles in your pitch package and design a repertoire that best fits the individual pitcher.
Receive answers to the following questions:
- Which FB best fits my delivery and arm action?

- Where in the zone does my FB play the best?
