Title: AUTERSON BASEBALL INSTRUCTOR

Brandon Bostick Teaching Philosophy

I was blessed to play baseball all the way up to the collegiate level. In high school the game seemed easy and I felt like all the success and accolades were easy to obtain; however, college showed me that nothing in life is easy and I often struggled. Although I like to think I had a successful college career, I often battled a lot of injuries and eventually I realized it was time for me to hang up the cleats. I never wanted to stop playing but my injuries were too severe to continue. I realized soon that there were other ways to be around the game of baseball and that’s what led me to coaching the youth as they are the future.

Time flies; one minute you’re playing in your first game ever and next thing you know it’s time to hang up the cleats. As a coach I want to not only teach leadership, but I want to teach athletes to be humble, confident, and be to be blessed to be able to play this amazing sport. Not everyone is given the opportunity to play, so for the ones that are, they need to ensure they give it their all on the field no matter what. No one is perfect when it comes to this sport; setbacks happen! It’s all about how you persevere and overcome.
